Turning Life Into Art
Creating art has been a passion and love of mine since I was a little girl. I made art into my teens and early adulthood, then life intervened as it frequently does. Consequently, my art was put on hold for a long while, a little more than three decades, to be exact. The spark that I had as a little girl had dimmed into an ember, quietly glowing, waiting for me to fan it once more into a fire.
That fire was ignited again when I took a drawing class at the local community college. Through that class, I was reintroduced to my love of art and began to get commissions for my pastel pet portraits. Not long after that, pastels were replaced by oils and acrylics, which are my primary mediums now. I am self-taught and enjoy painting a variety of subjects.
It’s a privilege to share my work and my God-given talent with you. Not unlike many artists, I paint for the sheer love of the artistic process, but also the enjoyment of the finished work. It is my ultimate satisfaction to make art for your pleasure, as the creative flame burns brighter than ever before.
